Surgery, Haircuts and Pool Time before 10am

I had surgery a week ago to remove a lump on my neck. The recovery for the next week was really long, painful and made me feel useless when it came to playing with my boys. I really wanted to play with them every day - take them to parks, our usual routine, etc - but that wasn't in the books for me and my recovery.

Thank the Lord I only had a brachial cleft cyst - a lump in my neck that didn't belong - and nothing worse. Labs and biopsys all came back as that diagnosis, and no cancer of which i am ery thankful for!!!

This past weekend Sean and I took the boys to get their haircut at the barbar shop. Charlie definately looks like a little boy now, no questions asked! Jackson got a trim and doesn't look like he's trying to sport a mullet any longer.

Today we're in the back yard, before 10 am, playing with the water in the pool. Jackson loves getting Charles wet, but really doesn't like to get himself wet. It's kind of funny. And of coruse they always want to play with the same toy. I think all kids go through that - wanting exactly what their sibling/friend has, but once they get it they dont know really what to do with it.

Another big thing that happened this weekend - we transitioned Charlie from his crib into a toddler bed, which consisted taking one side off of his crib. He's been doing pretty well so far the past few nights. What's funny, though, is that Jackson loves Charles' crib, and Charles loves Jackson's race car bed, so at night they switch and sleep in each others beds. At least they're sleeping!!! It's so adorable to see them both sleeping in 'big boy beds!'

Last night, Charlie fell out of the bed and screeeeeammed! He was fine, of course. I think he was scared beyond anything.
